The dry and cracked cuticles can be rubbed with natural acids like vinegar, salicylic acid and lemon. The use of these acids will help in peeling off the dead cuticles and help the new skin to grow rapidly. These acids will also prevent any fungal growth.
* Take some lukewarm water in a bowl and put some slices of lemon into it. Now soak your dry and cracked fingers in this solution. This will make your fingers soft and moist and will also help in early healing.
* Mix one tablespoon of honey in a bowl of lukewarm water and also add a few drops of lemon juice into it. Now soak your cracked fingers in this solution for a few minutes and using a cuticle stick, try to push back the cracked skin inside. This will also help in healing
the dry and cracked fingers.
* Massage your fingers with olive oil regularly at night and wear gloves before going to bed. This will enclose the moisture inside for the entire night and will keep your fingers moist for a longer time.
* You can apply a thick layer of milk on your cracked fingers to keep them moisturized.
* Keep your hands away from water. In case you cannot avoid using water then it would be better if you wear gloves while working with water.
* Take proper care of your hands. Keep them moisturized. Prevent your hands from excessive temperatures of heat and cold, as extreme temperatures can also cause cracked and dry fingers.
